After studying oenology at the TEI of Athens (1996-2000), Chris was in Turin attending one semester educational programma.Akolouthoun work experiences during the period of the vintage (2002,2003,2004) in the Piedmont region, Alto Adige, and Toskani.To 2003 and 2004 pursued graduate studies at the Agricultural University of Milan, on the management of grapevine plants.
For 4 generations the family Zafeiraki deals with the cultivation of the vine and in the last ten years planted foreign varieties such as syrah, merlot sangiovese chardonnay. Significant effort in the revival of local varieties has become the last five years. One of these varieties is the Limniona wine which was released in November 2008.
The property is located in the area Palaiomylos Tyrnavou. The soil is classified as loam with a strong presence tsakmakopetras.Poly important role in wine quality plays very low yield per hectare of vines, which combined with the high number of planted vines per acre (550-600), creating a perfect result .
In the enological piece and show the terroir of the region led to the use of indigenous yeasts in almost all the wines of the vintage of 2007.
