Think of a malty whisky with a pumpkin and spice flavor. Nutmeg and clove leap out. Try it straight up on a cold fall night or warm with a cinnamon stick. How about a Pumpkin Boilermaker?
Founded in 2004 by Guy Rehorst, Great Lakes Distillery is the first distillery built in Wisconsin since the end of prohibition. Master distilller Doug MacKenzie produces small batch, award-winning artisanal spirits using old world handcrafted methods and traditions.
|(90º) Made from Milwaukee’s Lakefront Brewery’s Pumpkin Lager. Based on a recipe from Thomas Jefferson, it’s made with real Pumpkin. Carefully distilled in a pot still, then aged it in a combination of new and used Bourbon Barrels. This aging mellows the spirit which is then bottled at 90 proof. Bottles are hand dipped in pumpkin orange wax and hand numbered.
