The style we seek to illuminate is one that delivers power and rich fruit character, tempered with a "Bordeaux” elegance. The substance of BOYANCI is derived from utilizing a collection of Napa Valley-grown varieties that may change with each vintage in order for us to achieve that "Soft Wallop” we look for. Based largely on Cabernet Sauvignon from coveted Napa Valley plantings such as Stagecoach Vineyard, our BOYANCI blend might also include Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and even Syrah if we believe the blend demands it. Headed by winemaker Mia Klein, our team aims squarely at making BOYANCI among the finest Napa Valley reds each vintage.

“Buoyancy: (noun) 1. The upward force that keeps things afloat. 2. A homonym for “Boyanci”, the combining of Kevin Boyer’s and Tom Steffanci’s names that form the name of a Napa Valley wine they believe can serve to uplift lives, palates and spirits. It was not a difficult task to choose the name for the wine we wanted to make. The idea of wine uplifting and keeping afloat good times, lives and spirits has always appealed to wine drinkers. The serendipity of our names combining to spell out this notion continues to put a smile on our faces. Our goal is simple: produce pinnacle Napa Valley wine with the intent of satisfying our customers desire for the finest from this remarkable region, steer a portion of BOYANCI revenue toward a non-profit cause that uplifts lives and buoys the spirits of friends and family with the help of our best winemaking efforts.
