Although Pinot Blanc appears on the label, this wine, as with almost all Pinot Blanc wines is mixture of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Auxerrois. In the mélange, the freshness of Pinot Blanc is combined with the spicy, full-bodied character of Auxerrois. The final product can have splendid balance, a good backbone and a broad taste. Although the aroma will not rival that of a grand cepage, it will often show a mix of fresh fruits, honey and a hint of spicyness.

"Pale green. This shows a little more auxerrois on the nose, with delicate honey and spice notes mixed in with the green apple and beeswax. Shows similar flavors in the mouth but with a less obvious floral component than the 2011 and more structure. Lovely integrated acidity keeps the flavors fresh and clean. Beautiful pinot blanc, and one of the best from Trimbach in my memory. "
Pale straw with green reflections. Rich and concentrated, with white flower and apricot notes. Smooth, medium-bodied with good fruit acidity.
Delicious with light meals such as salads, poultry, chicken, veal, roast pork, and seafood. The Pinot Blanc has beautiful fruitiness and makes an excellent all-occasion drinking wine.
