Wine Enthusiast 96 points - Initial aroma of wax paper and black pepper; aeration stimulates scents of asparagus, broccoli, new leather and herbal butter. The palate entry is spicy and semisweet; the midpalate adds subtle tastes of butter, steamed green vegetables, white rice and light toffee. Finishes satiny smooth and appealingly spicy. A tour de force in balance and harmony.

Each agave plant chosen for Milagro's Select Barrrel Reserve is hand picked in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico at the peak of ripeness under the personal supervision of Milagro's Tequila Master. The agaves are cooked and then distilled, not once but three times. Time in the oak casks mellows and refines the tequila and gives the Tequila Master the richness of flavors he needs to blend these single barrel batches into one of the world's finest tequilas.
Triple-distilled in small batches from 100% estate-grown blue agave, it is then aged 10 months in French white oak barrels, yielding a smooth, complex spirit that’s a perfect balance of agave and oak. Best in Show of all white spirits at the 2007 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, it honors their dedication and original vision of producing the world’s best tequila.
