Intense ruby red color. On the nose this wine is complex with hints of liquorice and plum jam, as well as a delicate final of vanilla. The structure is full, soft and powerful; excellent aftertaste, particularly persistent. Rosso di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese grown in the same delineated region as Brunello di Montalcino. The wine is required to spend only six months aging in oak and 1 year total aging before release.
