Color: Intense, dark amber
Nose: Mulit-layered aromas of dried fruits, spice and buttery toffee
Taste: Exceptionally rich and smooth-a velvety, dark chocolate palate with elegant floral notes and a wisp of sweet mellow smokiness
Finish: Magnificently long, warm and memorable
Ultimate Beverage Challenge 92 points - The nose reveals a wonderfully complex blend of malt, roasted nuts, toasted wheat bread, honey, vanilla, brown baking spices, and orange peel with accents of bacon, black pepper, and oak. The palate is semisweet while perfectly balanced ideally marrying (Mar 2012)
Wine Enthusiast 96 points - The wonderful bouquet includes scents of bacon fat, honey, orange rind with deeper smells of black pepper, cinnamon, vanilla bean and pipe tobacco. Entry is silky smooth, semisweet, concentrated and honeyed; the midpalate offers grainy sweet, yet spicy, tangy, fruity, nutty and floral tastes. The oak element really emerges in the aftertaste, ideally completing this sensational blended Scotch. One of the finest blended Scotches in the world.

Chivas Brothers was founded in 1801 by James and John Chivas (the brothers) to create the perfect scotch whisky for "sharing with friends." At this time, single malt whiskies were (in their words) "harsh" and "poorly matured." By blending whiskies, the Chivas brothers were able to make famous a more drinkable brand of whisky. Chivas claims the Strathisla Distillery of Speyside as "the heart" of their blend.
Chivas Regal was made famous by the "rat pack" of Hollywood (and Las Vegas) fame.
Chivas Regal 18yr scotch is the "gold signature" of the Chivas family. Each bottle is signed by the master distiller who hand-selected the whiskies for the blend. The blend is the Srathisla 18yr and Longhorn 18yr malts, neither of which are available to the public.
