Wine Spectator 89 points - Notably elegant and refined, this is polished at points, firm on the finish. The core black cherry and blackberry flavors are fresh and lively. Drink now through 2020. 67,466 cases made.-JL

Wine Advocate 87 points - The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon spent 19 months in new and used French oak. It has an austere, smoky bouquet with roasted herbs and sandalwood. The palate is medium-bodied with sharp red cherry and strawberry fruit, and sharp acidity, but there is more than enough freshness and delineation on the conservative finish. Drink 2012-2017. (Aug 2011)
With concentrated aromas of cassis, cherry, cedar, red rose petal and tobacco, this wine's complexity continues through the flavors, which include red currant, cherry, blackberry and blueberry with a hint of vanilla from oak aging. Round tannins balance and support this medium-bodied wine's ripe fruit. This wine shows beautifully in its youth and will continue to age gracefully for a decade or more.
