Wine Spectator 91 points - Velvety, round and dense, with licorice accents to the smoky black currant and dried plum flavors, picking up floral notes as the finish pushes against a light veil of firm tannins. Best from 2016 through 2021. 6,700 cases made.-HS

Vinous 89 points - (14.5% alcohol): Bright, saturated red-ruby. Cassis, lead pencil and dark chocolate on the expressive nose, along with fresh herbs and sexy caramel/mocha oak. Plush and sweet but not sloppy in the mouth, with soft, harmonious acidity giving shape to the dark berry and sweet oak flavors. Finishes with serious, dusty, tongue-coating tannins that turned a bit drier with air. Still, I find this accessible now.
Ultimate Beverage Challenge 91 points - Inky purple/black color. Leafy, brambles, berry vine aromas are vegetal and minty. Composed, integrated flavor profile features mint, cassis, black raspberry, black plum tastes that are tannic, austere, yet ripe and supple. (Jun 2014)

The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a stunner that comes from one of the more difficult vintages in the last decade. It has remarkable purity in its black and blue fruits, graphite, smoked herbs and licorice-scented aromas and flavors, and this beauty hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a great texture and sweet, slightly rustic tannin. Drink it anytime over the coming decade.
89 PTS – Wine Enthusiast
This reserve spent time in 100% new French oak, and shows better-than-average ripeness for this cool vintage. Fruit flavors of berry, cherry and a streak of cassis are at the core, with pleasing aromatics as well. A generous chocolate flavor runs into the finish.
Crafted in a classic Bordeaux style and sourced from low yielding vineyards within the best sub-appellations of the Columbia Valley, this Cabernet Sauvignon delivers textured spicy oak intertwined with abundant black cherry and sweet black currant dark fruit flavors. The elegant seductive fleshy mid-palate leads to an expressive, lingering finish.
